Landing Practice operations are scheduled for NAS Whidbey Island next week
(SKAGIT COUNTY)- Residents and drivers who regularly use McLean Road are invited to a public meeting July 2 to learn more about a paving project set for this summer.
The meeting runs from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 2, at the McLean Road Fire Department, 15452 Beaver Marsh Road, Mount Vernon. Skagit County Public Works staff will share information about the project, and answer questions about how construction will affect drivers and residents.
Contractor crews will remove two inches of existing asphalt on McLean Road, between Best Road and La Conner-Whitney Road, then repave the area with new hot mix asphalt and apply new striping. During the project, crews will make every effort to keep one lane of traffic open to drivers. Construction work is expected to begin July 9, and last for 10 working days.
