COVID-19 cases may be stabilizing in Skagit County

(SKAGIT COUNTY)- It appears that COVID-19 cases may be stabilizing after an uptick in mid-April. Local hospitalizations also appear to be trending downward again, which is a good sign. However, Skagit County has moved to a “High” disease transmission level, up from “Substantial” last week, according to a news release from the county. Skagit County’s 7-day case rate has increased by 6 percent since last week, and the 7-day hospitalization rate has decreased by 45 percent. For the 4th week in a row, no new COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Skagit County.
