Skagit County home sale prices increase 11.1% in 2Q 2019
(SKAGIT COUNTY)- A strong housing market continued in Skagit County in the second quarter, pushing its median sales price near $400,000, according to a press release from Shelah Inman of Group Brown McMillen.
The median sales price of a Skagit County home was $380,000 in the second quarter, up 11.1% fromthe second quarter of 2018, according to Inman. Inman prepared the quarterly report based on data from the Northwest Washington Multiple Listing Service.
“The sales price increases were throughout the county, led by double-digit jumps in La Conner, Mount Vernon and Sedro-Woolley,” Inman said. “Anacortes was the exception among the county’s largest markets with a median price inching up only 0.5% from last year but still leading the county at $495,000.”
The number of Skagit County homes sold in the second quarter rose 3.3% to 563.
The median sales price, average sales price, number of units sold and average days on the market (DOM) before a sale for the county and individual communities for the second quarter of 2019, with percentage comparisons to the second quarter of 2018, follow.
