Skagit Valley Family YMCA hosting community Halloween Spooktacular event

(SKAGIT COUNTY)– The Skagit Valley Family YMCA is hosting its annual Halloween Spooktacular event on Saturday, October 18 at the YMCA’s Hoag Road facility (1901 Hoag Road, Mount Vernon, WA 98273). The free community event will take place from 5-8pm.

Attendees can participate in a variety of carnival games (such as a witch hat ring toss, spider catapults, cornhole, and more), win prizes and candy, create Halloween-themed arts and crafts, and get resources from local nonprofits and organizations like Sea Mar, Mount Vernon Police Department, and Skagit Transit. Kids will have the opportunity to take a free mini pumpkin home, according to a news release from the Skagit Valley Family YMCA.

This event is free and open to the public and no pre-registration is required.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Skagit families back to the Y for this year’s Halloween Spooktacular,” said event coordinator and Y staffer Charlotte See. “This event is a great way to get in the Halloween spirit. Don’t forget your costume!”

The Halloween Spooktacular is an annual event and typically draws more than a thousand people each year. It is one of several community events the Skagit Y hosts aimed at bringing community together, offering kids and adults opportunities to have fun, and giving local nonprofits and service organizations the opportunity to reach local families.

The 2025 Halloween Spooktacular is made possible with support from sponsors Skagit Transit, WECU, and BECU.
